The Mila chair, available with or without armrests and in a range of materials and finishes, is a classically proportioned chair suiting both formal and casual applications in residential and commercial settings.
The natural evolution of the Mila range has led to the creation of the Mila chair, which is a classically proportioned chair retaining the core visual language of the Mila range, but with a twist of its own character.
Mila is a marriage of subtle details; the soft-rebated textile arm rests, the hand-stitched quilting, and the floating back-rest. The level of design detail is extremely high, with much of it hidden from plain sight. The backrest, the seat, and the armrests are upholstered in wool fabric or leather, using a quilting method, which gives four equal sections. The chair seat and frame are delineated by a restrained Shadow-line detail, which aids in spreading the optical buoyancy inherent in the construction of the entire piece.
The Mila Chair was awarded the Silver prize in the ‘Furniture + Lighting’ category in the Design Institute of Australia Awards.
The Mila Chair is available in a range of materials and finishes. To create your own distinct Mila Chair, please follow these steps.

The Mila chair was designed to not only be used around a table, but also be admired on it’s own. It showcases premium craftsmanship, and can hopefully assist reinvigorate the art of furniture making.
When surrounding a table in numbers, Mila’s floating back-rest provides essential negative space to allow the table and its details to still be visible. The relationship between the table and chair is vital and always needs to be carefully considered. Rather than dominate the other, I believe they should work in harmony to achieve the right balance in representing their beauty.
