Award winning Italian

Antica Pizzeria e Cucina is a beautiful new addition to the Adelaide CBD and a flagship pizzeria in Adelaide. We were thrilled to be commissioned to create special edition furniture designs to complement the inspirational interior for this restaurant.

Antica is a modernist Italian restaurant, based on influences from family heritage from Napoli, Italy. Inspiration for the restaurant was drawn from the old gated laneways of Napoli which open up into hidden piazzas. The paved lane-ways and brick vaulted ceilings all have strong influences on the space in creating a brick-on-brick narrative for the Antica.

Whilst capturing and honouring Italian family heritage, owner Anthony, was also passionate about showcasing some of Australia’s brightest design talent. Commissioning Franco Crea for his unique and minimalist furniture design language to compliment the interior design inspiration from Adelaide designers Genesin studio.  The focus for Franco centred on using humble and honest materials like solid oak to add warmth and a sense of inclusiveness to embrace the warmth and love of relaxed family gatherings.

We were beyond thrilled to have our special edition FrancoCrea designer furniture pieces captured in the following awards and accolades for the project.
