Show Stopping Dining

A stunning home in Toorak celebrating unique and authentic design offered the perfect environment to create a sensation statement table for our special clients. We were commissioned to design a table to be admired as a sculptural delight and equally enjoyed socially with family and friends gathered around.

The lively family home of 5 underwent a stunning refurbishment that saw careful consideration for the original design language of the home intertwined with our client’s passion for luxe, warmth and vibrancy.

It was their true appreciation of local design that warmed our hearts when we first chatted through the commission brief to create an utterly unique and show-stopping dining set for their space.

After an immersive design exploration process, we were truly excited to see our final design come to life.  The design was motivated by the visual journey you experience as you move through the space.  Steps leading upward towards the dining area provide a wonderful opportunity to see the table base from a lower more intimate angle.  A solid brushed brass base was chosen for strength, impact and assertiveness.  As you move closer towards the table, the angle of view changes and the heavily veined marble top becomes the grand focus.

Our Mila armchair was specifically chosen to complement the striking table design without overpowering it.  Glimpses of the bold brass table base are captured through the graceful open back of our Mila dining chairs, and the monotone black wood frame and grey velvet fabric provide the perfect contrast for the brass to shine through with a nod to luxe.
